Line-up: Ian Curtis | Peter Hook | Stephen Morris | Bernard Sumner |
Producer: Warsaw |
Total duration: 12.18 minutes |
NOTES |
The drawing by Bernard Sumner
on front sleeve of the 7" was inspired by the book written by Paul Grey and Rosemarie
Little, entitled "Germany 1918–1945 – Hinaus mit allen Störenfrieden.
Einheit der Jugend in der Hitlerjugend!" |
This 7" was later released as a 12" record |
This record was self-produced
by the band and released on Warsaw's own label Enigma (not to be
mistaken for the American eponymous label that produced bands like
Devo, Flaming Lips, etc.). As they had difficulty distributing the disc on their own,
Warsaw eventually sold them to Rabid Records |

MEMORIES |
We all met at Steve's parents' house to fold the posters and used plastic sandwich bags to stop the records falling out. The image on the sleeve fuelled more speculation about the name of the band and led to questions about Joy Division's political affiliations |
