The Birmingham concert
was heavily attended by Buzzcocks fans. After a few songs by Joy
Division, to which the audience politely applauded, many started
to wander back to the bar, prompting Ian to say to one group of punks 'Sorry we're
not the UK Subs'. Some of them decided to stay after hearing that,
and the crowd warmed up to the group as the set progressed |
